How do I sell my books back? | |
Two Options for Buybacks: 1. No waiting - FastTrac: (subject to school participation) Students will fill out the buyback form, place books in bag, and drop them off with an ESCO representative. Books will be evaluated at company headquarters in Tempe. Returning customers will receive the price listed on your buyback quote. To print a blank generic form click here: Blank Buyback Form 2. Year Round - All buybacks may take place online 24hrs a day by visiting your online bookstore website. Just go ONLINE and click on the Create a Return link. Fill out the form, submit the information, and PRINT your paperwork. Place your books along with the paperwork in a well packed box and SHIP the books to us at your convenience. We advise that you send the books using a trackable shipping method (ex: Fed Ex, UPS, etc...) For your convenience you may select to use one of our USPS shipping labels at a minimal cost. How much credit will I get for my book? | |
To check current buyback prices click here: Create a Return For NEW customer accounts: ESCO representatives will evaluate your books at the company headquarters in Tempe. Books may receive up to 40-50% of the price listed for the evaluated grade of the book. For RETURNING customer accounts: Students will receive an e-mail quote prior to the buyback day, listing the books that were purchased and a quoted price for each book. If the book was purchased from ESCO the prior school year and is in resalable condition, ESCO will pay up to 40-50% of the retail price you paid. If the books were not purchased from ESCO, you will receive up to 20% of the retail price of the book. (Please note: Buyback pricing is valid only until the start date of the next school year. Prices may vary depending on need.) | |
How will I know what books are being bought back? | |
To check books that can be sold click here: Sell my Books A complete buyback list & prices will be provided to Your School, and a Discontinued List will be available for viewing at your Online Bookstore Website. ESCO will only buyback textbooks in good/resalable condition that are currently being used by the school. Discontinued titles as well as workbooks, paperbacks, lab manuals and any other consumable books will not be bought back. | |
How will the books be evaluated? | |
To view the book condition evaluations click here: Book Conditions LIKE NEW (A) Quality: Generally 1-2 years of use. Clean pages with cover intact. Minimal highlighting. No cardboard exposure. No Workbooks are accepted. Only LIKE NEW quality paperbacks accepted. Paperbacks must be in mint condition with minimal writing inside and covers intact. (B) Quality: Generally 2-3 years of use. Average used book. Bent corners OK. Minimal cardboard exposed. Highlighting of pages edges and text. Binding is strong. No Paperbacks or Workbooks accepted. (C) Quality: Generally 3-4 years of use. Significant wear. All 8 corners may be exposed cardboard (Cover must be intact). Writing on edges and highlighting. No Paperbacks or Workbooks accepted. | |
What if a book is not discontinued, but still receives no credit? | |
To view discontinued books click here: Discontinued List If a book is not discontinued, but you receive no credit for your book, the quality was below value standard. Take care of your textbooks to receive the most credit. When shipping books back to ESCO, use proper packing material so the books are not damaged in transit. Used workbooks receive no credit. If you request your book back, you are responsible for all shipping charges. You may not receive the original book you returned. | |
What if I have a SCHOOL INITIATED schedule change? | |
To print the School Initiated Schedule Change form, click here : Schedule Change Form The student is not responsible for shipping charges on a SCHOOL INITIATED SCHEDULE CHANGE. If the student would like a reimbursement for the shipping cost of the return, the student MUST print out the form, have it signed by the school administration, and enclose the form with the retuned books. Once ESCO receives the return with the signed form, shipping charges will be refunded, but ONLY if the student submits the signed request. | |
What if I lose my paperwork? | |
If you misplace your paperwork after shipping your books and cannot find your buyback certificate number, there are two ways to retrieve the information. Returning customers may visit your online bookstore website and login to your account. The credit details may be viewed by clicking on My Account (top right corner of screen). New customers may contact the customer service Help Desk by using our online chat. Please provide the name and address information you filled out on the buyback form. Allow two weeks processing for your buyback. | |
What if I miss the buyback days? | |
To sell your books online click here: Sell my Books 1. Go ONLINE to your School Online Bookstore. 2. Click the Sell my Books link and fill out the appropriate information. 3. Click on SUBMIT to process the return/buyback. 4. Put the books and paperwork in a well packed box, then SHIP to ESCO. (For your convenience you may select to use one of our shipping labels at a minimal cost.) | |
What if I withdraw from or I am asked to leave the school? | |
To create a return, click here: Return Books Go Online to your online bookstore website, click on the Return Books link on the top of the page. Follow the instructions for the return and print the paperwork. For your convenience you may select to use one of our shipping labels at a minimal cost. You have a 30-day time period to finish this transaction and return the books. | |
